Computer and Electronics Recycling
The New York State Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act was signed into law back in May of 2010 and became effective April 1, 2011. In short, the law requires manufacturers of electronic equipment to accept responsibility for the collection, handling, recycling or reuse of covered electronic equipment within the State of New York.

- Small Electronic Equipment*
- VCRs
- Digital Video Recorders (DVR)
- Portable Digital Music Players
- DVD Players
- Digital Converter Boxes
- Cable or Satellite Receivers
- Electronic or Video Game Consoles
* Computer peripherals and small electronic equipment also include any cable, cord, or wiring permanently affixed to or incorporated into such product.
** Only those intended for use with a computer and weighing less than 100 lbs.
Eligibility:
- Resident of New York State
- Small Businesses based in New York State with fewer than 50 employees
- Non-Profit Organizations based in New York State with fewer than 75 employees
Electronics are accepted for recycling at our main office on the corner of 4th and Cherry Streets in Downtown Jamestown during normal business hours. For large quantities of items, we ask that you please call ahead to schedule drop-off directly at our warehouse facility.
